An original pair of sculptural wall lights produced in France during the 1980s, crafted from treated rusted metal with a richly textured and deeply patinated surface. The distinctive finish creates an expressive relief effect, giving each sconce a unique architectural character while preserving and stabilising the natural beauty of the oxidised metal. Their bold yet understated design reflects the experimental approach of late 20th-century French lighting, making them particularly suited to Brutalist, Industrial, Wabi Sabi and contemporary interiors. Concealed light sources direct illumination towards the wall, producing a warm and atmospheric indirect glow that emphasises the layered texture of the metal. Fitted with E27 sockets and compatible with LED bulbs, the electrical systems have been fully checked, and the lights are ready for immediate installation. Presented in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and use.
