Rare preserved pair of Model 1943 wall lights by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, produced in the 1950s. These sculptural appliques combine thick bevelled glass plates — hand-polished at the edges — with frosted surfaces that diffuse light with exceptional softness. Uniquely, this pair was custom-made: one sconce in clear glass, the other in the rare “Nilo Blue” tone, creating a subtle dialogue of colour and atmosphere. Original brass clamps and lacquered steel show a rich vintage patina consistent with age. One sconce has a small inner chip that remains discreet and stable. A highly collectible example of Max Ingrand’s mastery of light, material, and mid-century Italian craftsmanship.
