Rare pair of “Corinna” nightstands designed by Ignazio Gardella for MisuraEmme in 1985. Part of a concise bedroom series—including the “Mirtide” dresser and “Pindaro” bed—the Corinna tables embody Gardella’s restrained architectural approach, avoiding overt postmodern gestures in favor of clarity and proportion. Crafted in glossy gunmetal-grey lacquered wood, each nightstand features side panels punctuated by oval apertures and an open front structured by three gently curved rails. The cubic, architectural form is both sculptural and highly functional at the bedside. Produced only between 1985 and the late 1980s, surviving examples are scarce. This pair comes from the unused stock of a historic furniture store near Pavia and remains in excellent showroom condition with only minimal handling marks. Archival confirmation from MisuraEmme verifies the model and period.
