A decorative pair of French wall uplights dating from the 1950s, beautifully combining late Art Deco influences with the playful elegance of post-war European modernism. Each light features a sculptural curved iron frame supporting a rounded bowl-shaped shade, finished in a warm off-white textured paint and accented with contrasting dark wooden spheres. The flowing silhouette creates a striking architectural presence, while the open shades cast a soft indirect light upwards, producing dramatic shadows across the wall. Each lamp is fitted with its original pull-cord switch, with the wiring easily adaptable for connection to a standard wall switch by a qualified electrician. Perfect for hallways, living rooms or bedrooms, these distinctive wall lights complement Mid Century Modern, Art Deco and Contemporary interiors. Presented in good original vintage condition with age-related wear, small marks and minor losses to the painted finish, revealing the raw iron beneath in places.
