This elegant set of two wall appliques was designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in Italy during the 1970s, a period in which Nason was the sole designer shaping the company’s creative direction. Crafted in hand-blown Murano glass, each applique features a colorless undulated surface with a soft light blue lattimo band running through the center. The lattimo, or milk glass, gently conceals the light sources while adding a refined visual rhythm to the design. The off-white wall fixtures are discreetly screwed to the wall, with the sculptural glass elements sliding over and securing themselves through their winged form. When illuminated, subtle imperfections in the glass become visible, refracting the light and creating a rich, atmospheric play of reflections on the wall. The set remains in very good vintage condition with only minimal signs of use, offering a timeless example of Italian modern lighting and Murano craftsmanship.
