This refined set of two armchairs was designed by Giuseppe Rivadossi in Italy during the 1960s and reflects his deep respect for craftsmanship, material honesty, and timeless form. The chairs are crafted in solid Slavonian oak, a wood prized for its strength and beautiful grain, shaped into a sculptural yet restrained frame with softly rounded transitions. Upholstered in leather, the seating offers a warm contrast to the robust wooden structure and develops a natural patina over time, enhancing the character of the design. Rivadossi’s approach emphasizes balance and proportion, resulting in chairs that feel both grounded and elegant, suitable for dining, living, or study settings. The set is presented in good vintage condition with minor signs of age consistent with use, making it a collectible example of Italian mid-century furniture rooted in artisanal tradition.
