This secretaire was designed by Erling Torvits and manufactured by Klim Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s and is an excellent example of high quality Danish modern cabinetry. Crafted in teak, the piece displays very beautiful and expressive wood grain throughout, highlighting the care taken in material selection and construction. A distinctive feature of this secretaire is the pair of hidden drawers located at the top, which can only be accessed when the writing section is open by pressing discreet buttons underneath, reflecting the refined and intelligent design solutions of the period. The secretaire offers generous storage, with three large drawers at the base and an interior fitted with two sliding doors and three additional drawers, allowing for practical and well organised use. Produced to the highest standards, the piece is in very good condition and has been carefully maintained by a renowned Møbelfabrik workshop with over 35 years of experience in wood treatments. A sophisticated and functional storage piece that embodies the timeless elegance of mid century Danish design.
