This dining table by Sandro Petti for Angelo Metallarte captures the glamour and sculptural sophistication of 1970s Italian design at its finest. Bold yet refined, the piece showcases an extraordinary interplay of reflective materials, geometric composition, and luxurious detailing characteristic of the era’s high-end modern interiors.
The table combines a black chromed metal structure with elegant brass-capped feet, creating a striking contrast between dark polished surfaces and warm metallic accents. Above, a substantial glass top reveals a richly patterned gold-toned wooden panel beneath, adding depth, texture, and visual complexity to the composition. At the centre, a transparent hexagonal glass inset introduces an unexpected architectural detail, while brass-clad edges frame the tabletop with refined precision.
The layered construction and combination of materials give the table a strong decorative presence without overwhelming its clean geometric lines.
