A rare floor lamp designed by H.Th.J.A. Busquet for Hala Zeist, Netherlands, in 1955. An outstanding example of Dutch Mid Century Modern design, this highly collectible model features a striking black tubular steel frame with a distinctive triangular base, balanced by a solid brass counterweight sphere at the rear. The grey lacquered aluminium conical shade is finished with delicate perforations around the rim, creating a subtle decorative detail while softly diffusing the light. Busquet's refined combination of industrial materials, geometric forms and functional engineering perfectly reflects the innovative design language for which Hala Zeist became renowned. Seldom found on the market, this sculptural floor lamp is equally suited to Mid Century Modern, Industrial and Contemporary interiors, where it serves as both functional lighting and a statement design object. Presented in excellent vintage condition with minor surface marks and light wear to the original finish, consistent with age and use.
