The Poveglia table lamp was designed in 1969 by Gae Aulenti for Vistosi in Italy and is a refined example of late 1960s Italian modern lighting. Crafted in Murano glass, the lamp is defined by its sculptural, architectural form and carefully balanced proportions, reflecting Aulenti’s distinctive approach to material, structure, and light. The glass diffuses illumination into a soft, atmospheric glow while maintaining a strong visual presence, making the lamp equally compelling as functional lighting and as a sculptural object. Produced by Vistosi, renowned for its Murano glass expertise, the Poveglia lamp embodies the period’s blend of experimentation and elegance. A highly collectible design that works beautifully on sideboards, desks, or bedside tables in both modern and curated vintage interiors.
