An elegant Royal System wall unit designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in Denmark during the 1960s, combining warm rosewood with a visually light, wall-mounted structure. Three black metal uprights support open shelves and three enclosed cabinets, allowing the composition to remain suspended above the floor. The upper cabinet features four sliding doors, while the lower units provide additional storage, including a distinctive lockable drop-front bar cabinet with geometric inlay, two pull-out trays and an original metal bottle rack. Slender wire brackets allow the individual elements to be repositioned, reflecting the flexibility at the heart of Cadovius’ pioneering modular storage concept. Fully restored and in very good vintage condition, the rosewood has been carefully cleaned, inspected and treated with furniture oil to enhance its rich natural grain.
