A distinctive example of late-century American modern furniture, this Paul Evans console with mirror reflects the designer’s bold material sensibility and sculptural presence. Crafted in 1978, the piece blends evocative surface treatments and commanding form, paired with a complementary mirror that amplifies light and spatial articulation. The console’s distinctive facade and textured surfaces resonate with Hollywood Regency influence, while Evans’s signature approach, one that balances crafted complexity with visual cadence — lends the work both expressive detail and structural confidence. Positioned as an entryway anchor, behind a sofa, or in a formal living space, the piece enriches interiors with depth and narrative. Offered in good vintage condition, the console retains its expressive surfaces and structural solidity, with age-related wear that contributes authentic character. A collectible piece for enthusiasts of American design, it bridges artistic ambition with everyday functionality.
