The Pernilla 3 chaise longue was originally designed in 1945 by Bruno Mathsson for Karl Mathsson in Sweden and remains an icon of Scandinavian modern seating. This pair, produced in 1969 and 1983, features laminated beech frames combined with finely woven saddle girth, expressing Mathsson’s signature ergonomic and lightweight construction. Both loungers have been professionally re covered in Denmark with new leather based on the original specification, preserving authenticity while enhancing comfort and durability. They include new lambskin cushions and retain their original brand marks, confirming provenance. Sourced from one private home in Denmark, the pair is in very good vintage condition overall, with beautifully preserved frames and renewed upholstery.
