This refined sideboard with integrated bar cabinet, designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Arredamenti Borsani Varedo (ABV) in the late 1940s–early 1950s, is an exceptional example of Italian craftsmanship. Executed in rich rosewood, the exterior is contrasted by a luminous blond maple interior, revealing a dramatic interplay of materials when opened. The architectural structure features a central drop-down door above four drawers, while the upper section is composed of three folding doors designed for efficient access. Inside, the bar compartment is beautifully detailed with mirrors and glass shelving. Brass handles, hinges, and signature feet complete the design, highlighting Borsani’s refined decorative language prior to his industrial work with Tecno. A rare and highly collectible piece, embodying elegance, functionality, and Italian design heritage.
