Authentic Model B14 table designed by Marcel Breuer and produced by Mücke Melder in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. The design represents one of the earliest generations of Bauhaus tubular steel furniture, reflecting Breuer’s revolutionary exploration of chromed steel construction. Inspired by the structural efficiency of bicycle frames, Breuer introduced bent tubular steel as a material that allowed furniture to become lighter, stronger, and visually expressive of modern industrial production. The table features a square wooden top with softly rounded corners that appears to float above four slender chromed steel legs, creating a striking sense of architectural balance and visual lightness. Manufactured by the pioneering company Mücke Melder, closely linked to the early Bauhaus movement, this piece remains in very good original condition with natural patina and minor wear consistent with age. A historically significant Bauhaus design icon.
