This refined side table was designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and manufactured by France and Daverkosen in Denmark during the 1960s. Part of the well known Minerva series, the table represents a sophisticated balance between form, function, and material quality characteristic of Danish modern design. The piece retains its original manufacturer’s label, confirming its authenticity and provenance. Crafted from solid teak, the table showcases warm tones and elegant grain patterns, complemented by a lower shelf in woven cane that adds texture and lightness to the overall design. A notable functional feature is its modular construction, allowing the table to be disassembled into ten individual components for easy transport, an innovative and practical solution developed during the 1960s for international shipping. Preserved in very good condition, both the teak structure and the cane shelf have been professionally restored by the renowned Møbelfabrik workshop, benefiting from over 35 years of expertise in specialist wood treatments. A collectible and versatile piece of Scandinavian furniture history.
