A striking piece of Italian 1970s design, this console table by Romeo Rega features a rich faux tortoise shell top supported by a sculptural gilt metal base, a combination that conveys dramatic glamour and refined material presence. The warm patterning of the tortoise surface contrasts beautifully with luminous gilt metal, creating a jewel-like accent piece suited for entryways, living rooms, or layered interiors seeking ornamental drama. Its bold silhouette and refined craftsmanship underscore Italian design’s penchant for elevated surface and sculptural form. Offered in good vintage condition, the table retains its striking materials with age-related wear that adds character without detracting from impact. A standout decorative anchor, it brings Italian modern presence and statement style to curated spaces.
