A remarkable example of mid-century modern furniture linked to Pierre Jeanneret’s design legacy, this storage chest is crafted from rich teak wood with woven cane paneling that imparts warmth and textural interplay. Connected with the Chandigarh canon of design, the piece exhibits Jeanneret’s signature clarity of form, honest material expression, and dedication to functional logic. The chest offers practical storage while presenting an architectural silhouette that complements both minimalist and layered interiors. Teak’s natural grain variation and the cane’s organic texture create a dynamic surface interplay that enriches visual depth without overstating its presence. Offered in good vintage condition, the chest retains solid structural integrity and material patina, with age-related wear that contributes authentic heritage. A distinctive collectible for mid-century modern connoisseurs, this Pierre Jeanneret chest brings historical resonance and timeless utility to refined interiors.
