A striking example of Vladimir Kagan’s innovative approach to mid-century modern furniture, this burl wood and lacquered sideboard / console combines sculptural presence with practical storage. The rich burl veneer dances with lacquered surfaces, creating a dynamic visual interplay that elevates everyday function. Designed with integrated file cabinets and discreet compartments, the piece brings both organizational utility and modernist sophistication to living rooms, offices, or hall environments. The console’s streamlined silhouette and architectural proportions reflect Kagan’s refined aesthetic, one that pairs organic surfaces with elegant structural balance. Offered in good vintage condition, the sideboard retains its robust form and expressive materials, with age-related wear that contributes authentic character. An exceptional choice for design-savvy interiors, this piece delivers both historic lineage and versatile utility with understated glamour.
