An iconic Marsala armchair with matching footrest designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in France during the 1970s. A distinctive example of French Space Age design, the Marsala is defined by its sculptural brown thermoformed plexiglass shell and generously proportioned detachable cushion. The shell remains in excellent vintage condition and retains the original maker’s stamp, confirming its authenticity. The removable seat cushion has been fully restored according to the original design, including its characteristic shape and stitching, and reupholstered in a soft light beige stain-resistant fabric. The contrast between the transparent brown plexiglass and neutral textile emphasizes the futuristic character of Ducaroy’s design while retaining exceptional lounge comfort. A highly collectible statement piece offered as a unique example and sold with its footrest.
