This Directoire-style coffee table attributed to Maison Jansen draws inspiration from late 18th-century French neoclassical design, reinterpreted through a later revival lens. Featuring a thick marble top paired with a faux marble base, the table balances classical form with decorative presence. The design emphasizes symmetry, restraint, and architectural clarity, hallmarks of the Directoire aesthetic. The marble surface provides a sense of permanence and elegance, while the faux marble base offers visual continuity and structural support. The table is in good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age that enhances its character. A refined statement piece, it works beautifully in both traditional and eclectic interiors, offering timeless French elegance with practical functionality.
