A unique and extremely rare Magneto floor lamp, designed by Gilbert Watrous for MoMA’s 1951 design competition and later produced in the 1950s by Heifetz (USA) and Atelier Artiforte (Netherlands). This exceptional mid-century piece features a long chrome arm balanced on a spherical magnet, allowing fully adjustable omnidirectional light. Its distinctive cylindrical shade with a translucent back projects a dual-beam effect, while the unusual base sets it apart from documented models, making it likely a one-of-a-kind variant.
