The LS 181 artichoke pendant lamp by Carlo Nason for AV Mazzega, designed in the 1970s, is a refined expression of Murano glass craftsmanship and modern Italian design. Born in Murano in 1935, Nason masterfully combined traditional glass blowing techniques with contemporary modular forms. This chandelier is handcrafted from 11 curved hand blown Murano glass leaves arranged around a stainless steel core, forming a sculptural artichoke silhouette. Each leaf is adjustable, allowing the overall shape and light diffusion to be subtly modified. The layered glass creates a soft, atmospheric glow while maintaining architectural clarity. The lamp remains in perfect vintage condition with hardly any age related wear. Measurements: diameter 51 cm, height 43 cm, total height 93 cm including chain. A timeless and highly collectible Italian design icon.
