An icon of refined modern seating, this Lorin Marsh design bench brings together luxurious embossed leather upholstery and a gleaming polished stainless steel frame. Crafted with an eye toward sculptural form and elevated materials, the bench exemplifies the fusion of comfort and architectural presence that defines Marsh’s work. In 1975, Lorin Marsh established their eponymous furniture and décor showroom in the historic New York Decoration and Design building, with the aim of providing comprehensive interior decorating options while maintaining a chic, boutique experience The textured leather offers tactile richness and visual depth, while the steel framework reflects light and anchors the piece with a crisp, contemporary silhouette. Whether placed at the foot of a bed, against an entry wall, or as additional seating in a living space, this bench makes a refined design statement. Offered in good vintage condition, the bench retains strong structural integrity and a beautifully maintained surface, with subtle signs of use that contribute to its authentic character. A standout in modern seating, it appeals to collectors and interior designers seeking elevated materials and sculptural restraint.
