A refined table lamp designed by Jacques Adnet in France during the 1950s, exemplifying the designer’s distinctive combination of modernist geometry and luxurious leather craftsmanship. The metal structure is wrapped in brown saddle-stitched leather, extending across the circular base, tubular stem and conical shade. A curved gooseneck arm positions the shade to cast focused downward light, balancing functionality with Adnet’s characteristic attention to material and detail. Its elegant proportions make the lamp particularly suited to a desk, console or side table within French Modernist and Mid-Century interiors. The piece retains a strong vintage character and shows visible tears, material loss and fraying along the stitching at the upper rim of the leather shade and around the collar joint, consistent with its age and use.
