This large writing table by Pace Furniture is a striking example of American modern design from the 1970s. Conceived as an executive desk, the piece reflects the era’s preference for bold proportions, architectural presence, and functional clarity, making it suitable for both private offices and statement interiors. The desk is crafted in ebonized wood, lending it a strong, graphic character and a refined monochromatic finish. Its expansive rectangular top is supported by sculptural double pedestal bases, creating a grounded and balanced silhouette. An integrated open compartment provides discreet cable management, a thoughtful feature that speaks to its original executive use and custom-level production. Manufactured in the United States by Pace Furniture, the desk aligns with the company’s reputation for producing high-quality modern furnishings with an emphasis on scale and craftsmanship. The piece is offered in very good vintage condition, showing light, age-appropriate wear consistent with careful use, while retaining its structural integrity and visual impact.
