This desk was designed by Arne Vodder and manufactured by Sibast in Denmark during the 1960s and represents a top quality example of Danish modern office furniture. Executed in teak, the desk displays beautiful and expressive wood grain patterns that highlight the quality of the material and craftsmanship. The tabletop features upstanding edges on both sides, a refined detail that frames the work surface and enhances the architectural character of the design. The spacing between the drawer containers and the legs creates a light and floating appearance, a hallmark of Vodder’s elegant approach to proportion. The desk offers ample storage with six drawers, fitted with distinctive handles in metal and solid teak. A model number stamp is present, confirming authenticity. The key for the drawer locks is missing. The desk is in very good condition, having been carefully maintained by a renowned Møbelfabrik workshop with over 35 years of experience in wood treatments. A refined and functional piece that embodies the timeless appeal of mid century Danish design.
