An impressive XXL Karlebo pendant lamp designed by Skaarup & Jespersen for Fog & Mørup in Denmark during the 1970s. This oversized Scandinavian lighting design features a sophisticated layered construction that controls and softens the light while creating a striking sculptural silhouette. The wide circular shade appears to float around the central diffuser, directing illumination downward without glare while allowing a subtle halo of light to escape around the centre. Finished in its original white lacquer, the 60 cm diameter makes this example particularly suited to a large dining table, living room or entrance hall. Presented in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear, the lamp has been thoroughly cleaned, inspected and fitted with a new 1.5-metre white textile-covered cable. Dimensions: H 33 × Ø 60 cm.
