An iconic Compass Chair designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen, Denmark, during the 1950s–1960s. One of the most celebrated designs of Danish Mid Century Modern furniture, the chair is distinguished by its sculptural A-shaped teak armrests, whose elegant silhouette inspired the name "Compass Chair." Crafted from beautifully grained solid teak, the frame combines refined craftsmanship with exceptional ergonomic comfort, while the original wool upholstery adds warmth and authentic vintage character. The chair's clean lines, floating seat and organic curves exemplify Kristiansen's mastery of functional Scandinavian design. Equally suited as a dining chair, desk chair or statement accent chair, it complements Mid Century Modern, Scandinavian, Contemporary and Classic interiors. Presented in beautiful vintage condition with light signs of wear to the original fabric consistent with its age. Dimensions: H 79 × W 52 × D 62 cm. Seat height: 43 cm.
