The Nova pendant lamp was designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in Denmark in 1963. Crafted from aluminum, this Danish Mid-Century Modern lamp features a sleek sculptural shade with a glossy surface that captures and reflects its surroundings. When illuminated, the Nova produces a soft, glare-free downward glow, making it particularly suited for low-hanging placement above a dining table or seating area. The use of aluminum reflects Hammerborg's exploration of different metals at Fog & Mørup during the 1960s, including aluminum, brass and copper. The lamp measures 41 cm in diameter and 18 cm in height and is in very good vintage condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned and fitted with a new braided cable. A new metal canopy is included.
