An exceptional Japanese Art Nouveau side table dating from the 1920s, masterfully crafted in bronze and brass. The sculptural design reflects the organic forms and exquisite metalwork that defined the Japanese interpretation of the Art Nouveau movement. The oval tabletop is conceived as a decorative tray with a flowing wave-shaped rim and elegant curled handles, while its surface is richly hand-chiselled with intricate floral and foliage motifs. A finely cast dragonfly in relief rests near the edge, symbolising the movement's enduring fascination with nature. Beneath, three gracefully curved legs textured to resemble tree branches intersect around a sculptural cluster of blossoms and vines, creating both structural support and remarkable visual depth. The warm contrast between bronze and brass enhances the table's rich patina and exceptional craftsmanship. Ideal as a side table, occasional table or decorative accent, it complements Art Nouveau, Japonisme, Eclectic and Contemporary interiors.
