This Italian dining table from the 1960s embodies the era’s distinctive balance of sculptural boldness and refined detailing, where craftsmanship and innovation worked in harmony. The design is grounded by circular, height-adjustable brass feet topped with rosewood caps, reflecting careful attention to both function and joinery. Elegant Y-shaped brass legs rise from the base and are connected by a floating central beam, accented with nine evenly spaced rosewood blocks that act as both structural clamps and decorative elements. Broad, tapering rosewood wings frame each upright, lending symmetry and visual weight to the composition. Above, a mahogany tabletop with a clean facet edge introduces warmth and contrast to the brass and rosewood structure below. The table has been carefully restored in our studio, including a renewed finish on the top, while light signs of wear remain visible and appropriate to its age. Both functional and sculptural, this table offers a refined yet expressive presence in any interior.
