A large industrial clamp-on task lamp designed by Erich Lang for SIS Leuchten, Germany, during the 1970s. An outstanding example of German industrial lighting, this highly functional lamp reflects the practical engineering and clean modernist aesthetic that made SIS Leuchten a leading manufacturer of articulated workplace lighting. Featuring its original industrial grey finish, the lamp is equipped with a robust clamp mechanism that allows it to be securely mounted to desks, workbenches or shelves, while the adjustable arm and shade provide precise directional lighting for a variety of tasks. Founded in 1924 by Karl and Erich Lang, SIS Leuchten became renowned for its innovative movable lighting systems, producing some of the most recognisable German task lamps of the twentieth century. Completely original, this example has been expertly restored, professionally cleaned, fully rewired and PAT safety tested, and is supplied ready for immediate use with an E27 LED bulb. Presented in excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use, preserving its authentic industrial character.
