Rare “Mirtide” dresser designed by Ignazio Gardella for MisuraEmme, produced c.1985–1989. Part of a coherent bedroom series with the “Corinna” nightstands and “Pindaro” bed, the Mirtide translates Gardella’s refined architectural language into a domestic scale. The dresser features a rigorously composed volume with four wide drawers and a raised gallery punctuated by oval apertures. Executed in glossy gunmetal-grey lacquer, it balances crisp geometry with softened edges, while the reflective surface highlights the sculptural form. Discontinued before 1990, the model is seldom found on the market. This example comes from the unused stock of a historic furniture store near Pavia and remains in excellent showroom condition with only minimal handling marks. Archival information from MisuraEmme confirms the model and dating. A collectible and elegant statement piece that pairs naturally with the Corinna nightstands.
