A distinguished emblem of Hollywood Regency design, this Maison Jansen-stamped ebony chest / commode pairs dramatic finish and classical detail with a luminous marble top that reads as both functional surface and refined accent. Crafted with a deep ebony lacquer and subtle decorative articulation, the chest embodies the period’s aspiration for sculptural presence and material richness. Ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, or entryways, the generously configured drawers deliver practical storage while the marble surface introduces radiant contrast and visual weight. The Maison Jansen stamp speaks to a lineage of classic modern design interpreted through an elevated decorative sensibility. Offered in good vintage condition, the chest retains strong finish and marble integrity with gentle signs of age that enrich its story without diminishing performance. A standout piece for interiors that value provenance and material nuance, it bridges classic Hollywood Regency language with enduring utility.
