The Optima pendant lamp was designed by Hans Due in 1973 and manufactured by Danish lighting company Fog & Mørup. Characterized by its soft, rounded lines and Space Age influence, the Optima features a distinctive layered shade construction with an internal reflective screen and contrasting red inner detail. This system distributes light evenly while reducing glare, whether the pendant is suspended high or low. A refined example of 1970s Danish lighting, its sculptural form works particularly well above a dining table or as a statement light in a modern interior. The lamp measures 50 cm in diameter and 25 cm in height. It is in very good vintage condition with light signs of age. It has been thoroughly cleaned and fitted with a new braided cable and new metal canopy.
