An elegant hand-carved alabaster table lamp dating from the 1930s, sourced from a distinguished Parisian residence. Sculpted in the stylised form of a pineapple, a long-standing symbol of luxury, hospitality and welcome, this exceptional lamp showcases the remarkable craftsmanship of the period. The translucent alabaster body is decorated with finely carved geometric crosshatching, while delicately sculpted leaves cascade from the crown, creating a beautifully balanced architectural silhouette. A rare dual-light system combines a traditional upper bulb with an internal light source concealed within the stone, allowing the alabaster to glow warmly from within and produce a rich, atmospheric illumination. Raised on a turned stem and square base, this sculptural lamp functions as both an elegant lighting piece and a decorative work of art. Perfect for Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, Classical or contemporary interiors, it is presented in excellent vintage condition. Lampshade not included.
