A rare 19th-century Gustavian Swedish commode, this antique chest of drawers embodies the elegant simplicity and refined restraint of Scandinavian design. Crafted in Sweden during the early 1800s, it features a gently distressed gray painted surface, fluted side panels, and original brass fittings that have patinated gracefully over time. This commode’s timeless proportions and hand-worked details celebrate craftsmanship from a celebrated historical period, making it a standout for collectors and connoisseurs alike. The well-worn finish adds depth and intrigue while retaining structural integrity and usability. In excellent condition for its age, it bridges antique heritage and modern interior sensibilities with enduring style and quiet sophistication.
