A refined interpretation of Italian Mid-Century Modern seating, this sofa evokes the poetic proportions and material richness associated with Gio Ponti’s design language. Crafted in Italy in the 1950s, it features plush velvet upholstery supported by a warm walnut frame. The sofa’s elegantly linear profile and gently sloped arms reflect a disciplined approach to form, creating a piece that feels both sculptural and welcoming. Its velvet surface invites comfort while the walnut base lends visual warmth and architectural grounding. Offered in good vintage condition, this settee retains its structural integrity and plush finish, with gentle signs of age that enrich its authentic character. A beautiful centerpiece for design-savvy interiors, it balances everyday comfort with collectible Italian modern design pedigree.
