This striking wall lamp was produced by the renowned Italian manufacturer Mazzega in the 1970s and showcases the distinctive Murano “ghiaccio” glass technique. Shaped like a folded sheet of paper, the glass has an ice-cracked appearance created by plunging hot glass into cold water and then sealing it under a clear outer layer, resulting in luminous depth and a sculptural, frozen effect. A subtle light-blue hue is mixed into the glass, enhancing the glow when illuminated. The glass is secured with two visible screws to a white-painted wall fixture fitted with an E27 socket. The glass remains flawless, while the fixture shows only minor wear consistent with age.
