A substantial Functionalist highboard by Robert Slezák, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. Characterised by its architectural proportions and restrained Modernist aesthetic, the cabinet features an elegant two-tone finish with carefully retouched painted surfaces. The interior provides generous and practical storage, combining multiple compartments with adjustable shelves finished in a rich mahogany stain within the taller section. Its balance of functionality, clean geometry and contrasting finishes reflects the principles of interwar Czechoslovak design.
