A beautifully crafted French ceramic table lamp in the style of Roger Capron, produced in the Vallauris region during the 1960s. Executed in glazed stoneware, the lamp features a rounded disc-shaped base decorated with the distinctive Herbier motif, where double fern leaves are carefully incised into the clay before glazing. The warm, mottled glaze transitions between sandy ochre and soft green tones, highlighting the handcrafted nature of the piece and reflecting the celebrated ceramic tradition of southern France. A slender tapered neck completes the balanced silhouette, giving the lamp an understated sculptural presence. Stamped on the underside, the base displays the authentic characteristics of studio ceramics from the period. Ideal for a bedside table, console or bookshelf, this timeless lamp complements Mid Century Modern, Wabi Sabi, Rustic and Contemporary interiors. Presented in excellent vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. Sold as the ceramic lamp base only; the shade shown is for display purposes and is not included.
