This wonderfully proportioned French floor lamp from the 1950s stands at 110 cm in height and offers a rare blend of sculptural elegance and decorative charm. While it could also function as an oversized table lamp, its scale and presence make it ideal as a floor standing statement piece. The design combines a curving metal base with beautifully patinated brass elements and a distinctive lantern style shade with red webbing detail. The white metal shows some age related wear and the red painted webbing has minor paint chips, all consistent with its vintage character. The lamp has been rewired in the past, with the switch positioned near the shade and the wiring neatly fastened along the sculptural base. In great working condition, this rare French piece brings warmth, texture and authentic mid century atmosphere to refined interiors.
