This exceptional large flush mount, model 82400, was designed by Gunnel Nyman and produced by Idman Oy in Finland during the mid century modern period. A striking example of Scandinavian lighting design, the fixture features a hand blown amber glass diffuser made by Kauklahden Lasi, paired with a refined copper base. The warm tone of the glass creates a rich and atmospheric glow, enhancing the depth and character of the material. With an impressive diameter of 60 cm, this flush mount makes a bold yet elegant statement, ideal for living rooms, dining areas, or entrance halls where sculptural lighting is desired. The organic form and high quality craftsmanship reflect Gunnel Nyman’s mastery of glass design and her ability to balance artistic expression with functional lighting. Both decorative and practical, this piece embodies the heritage and timeless appeal of Finnish mid century modern design. A rare and highly collectible fixture that brings warmth, sophistication, and authenticity to any interior.
