This high quality floor lamp was likely designed in the late 1960s and manufactured by Kinkeldey Leuchten in Bad Pyrmont, Germany, and stands out for its striking trumpet shaped form made from chromed metal wires. The sculptural open structure gives the lamp a strong visual presence while remaining elegant and airy. The lampshade is still fitted with its original fabric and can be adjusted in height from 153 to 185 cm using a vertical rod secured with a knob, allowing flexible positioning. The lamp is equipped with three pull cord switches that enable different lighting settings. The uplighter contains one E27 fitting, while the downlighter holds three E27 fittings, which can be used independently or together for varied light effects. Although this model is often incorrectly attributed to Verner Panton, this attribution is false, as Panton’s wire floor lamp from 1972 follows a completely different design. The lamp remains in original condition and is in perfect working order, showing some wear and light stains consistent with age, which add to its authentic vintage character.
