The Farstar lamp, designed in the 1970s by Adalberto Dal Lago for Francesconi in Italy, is a versatile and characterful example of Italian modern lighting design. Featuring a glass shade paired with a black plastic base, the lamp is defined by its large round integrated dimmer, a distinctive functional detail typical of the period. Designed for flexibility, the Farstar can be used both as a table lamp and as a wall sconce, making it suitable for a variety of interior settings. The clean, graphic lines and contrast between glass and plastic reflect the experimental yet practical approach of 1970s Italian design. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only light wear to the plastic components, consistent with age and use. A practical and collectible design object, the Farstar lamp combines functionality, adaptability, and unmistakable period character.
