This Danish extendable dining table was produced by SKM in Denmark during the 1970s, a decade marked by practical innovation and refined modernism in Scandinavian furniture design. Created to adapt effortlessly to both everyday use and larger gatherings, the table reflects the era’s emphasis on versatility, clean lines, and thoughtful construction. SKM was known for producing functional furniture grounded in Danish Modern principles, prioritizing durability and ease of use while maintaining visual clarity. The extendable mechanism allows the table to transition smoothly between compact and expanded configurations, making it a highly practical solution for contemporary living. Offered in good vintage condition, the table shows visible wear consistent with age and regular use, preserving its original character and authenticity. With its understated aesthetic and adaptable form, this table integrates seamlessly into minimalist, mid-century inspired, or modern interiors, offering both functional value and a genuine link to 1970s Danish design heritage.
