This early pair of CH 28 Sawbuck easy chairs was designed in 1951 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn and produced in Denmark during the 1950s. Crafted in solid oak, the chairs exemplify Wegner’s masterful balance of sculptural form and structural clarity, with the distinctive sawbuck leg construction giving the model its name. The organic armrests and gently angled backrests provide both visual lightness and comfortable support. The chairs retain their original fabric upholstery, which shows age and may benefit from renewal upon request. The wooden frames are in very good condition with normal signs of use consistent with age. Dimensions: height 77 cm, width 74 cm, depth 76 cm, seat height 32 cm. Price per set.
