This American Mid-Century Modern dresser by Harvey Probber is a refined example of the designer’s commitment to clean lines, functional elegance, and high-quality craftsmanship. Dating to the 1960s, the piece embodies the understated sophistication and modular approach that made Probber a prominent figure in mid-century furniture design. Constructed in rosewood, the sideboard features a rich, warm grain pattern that enhances its linear silhouette and highlights the natural beauty of the wood. The drawers glide smoothly, reflecting the piece’s precise joinery and attention to functional details. Its elevated base and subtle design flourishes give the dresser a light, architectural presence while maintaining practicality for everyday use. Produced in the United States, this sideboard represents Probber’s hallmark combination of modernist simplicity with luxury materials. The dresser is offered in very good vintage condition, showing minor wear consistent with age while retaining its structural integrity and visual appeal. It serves equally well as a statement storage piece or an elegant focal point in curated interiors.
