The DD02 wall-mounted drawer unit was designed by Martin Visser in the 1950s and produced by ’t Spectrum in the Netherlands, expressing the designer’s clear, functional modernism with an architectural edge. The unit features a black lacquered metal frame intended for wall mounting, paired with two wooden drawers whose exterior fronts are finished in white for a crisp, graphic contrast. The considered placement of the wooden elements and the visible joints turn construction into a design detail, creating a refined, structural look that remains highly contemporary. The DD02 name refers to the two-drawer configuration, with other variants such as the DD01 offering a single drawer. This example remains in very good vintage condition, making it a versatile storage piece and a collectible work of Dutch modern design.
